Sunny Beach - Laguna Park Hotel
Close to the beach and within walking distance of
the Sunny beach resort. Our room was comfortable and
clean. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and
this was fine, the breakfast was not brilliant but
it was enough to keep you topped up until lunch,
although i still found myself popping out for a full
English breakfast down the road. Sunny beach is a
great location and there is lots ot do whilst on
holiday in Bulgaria, the beer was cheap at only 2
levs in the hotel and the room even had a minibar
with drinks that you get billed for. Lots of
families with children aged about 10-14 so my 2 kids
had something to do and met a couple of friends
whilst on holiday, which helps make the adults
holiday a little bit better. |

Sunny Beach -Hotel Belleville
The hotel is only a very short walk to the sandy
beach or to the bars and restaurants close by which
are very useful as the food is not exactly the best
but was edible. The room was very nice and big with
plenty of room. The Hotel Belleville has some very
nice friendly staff. Nessebar is a great place to
visit with some nice scenery. Overall the holiday
was what I expected as it only cost £700 for both of
us as the little one went free of charge. |

Italy -
Cattolica - Hotel Venezia
Just returned from the Hotel Cattolica with Sunset
holidays and Thomas Cook, went half board for a
week, the only downside was having to fly from
Manchester airport, but at £339 for a week in June
it is not bad, the family who own and run the hotel
are very friendly and helpful. The meals were very
nice and home cooked, the staff in the hotel speak a
lot of languages and their english is vey good,
which is good as my italian is vey bad It is a basic
hotel with clean rooms with a safe and a tv. The
daughter, Rosanna, her husband Russell, and brother,
Mauro, deal with the day to day running of the
reception, bar and hotel in general and speak
several languages, including English fluently. The
beach is just a few minutes from the hotel, and in
the evening the choice of bars and restaurants is
very good. |

Mellieha - Luna Holiday Complex
Got a mega cheap cheap deal to the Luna
holiday complex, the reports on the net say this
place is a dump, they are wrong. It was clean and
tidy, and everything you need for a self catering
holiday in Malta. Mellieha is a great place for
couples and families with lovely clear waters and
some great bars. Went for a day out at the Blue
Lagoon, and this was the best part of the holiday.
Decent apartments if you can get a deal. |

Sliema - Bayview Hotel & Apartments
The Hotel Bayview is within few meters from
the Sliema popular shopping centre, cafes, bars and
restaurants. The hotel has recently been refurbished
and you can tell, it looks very nice. There is a bus
stop outside the hotel so car hire was not needed as
the buses are so cheap. The pool is not big but was
nice and warm on the rooftop. The hotel staff are
very friendly but a bit slow on doing things a bit
of Spanish influence i think - it will get done
eventually. There was a TV in the room and the room
also had air con, the rooms were generally clean and
up to standard for a 3 star hotel. |

Qawra - The Suncrest Hotel
Booked the Suncrest hotel last year through the Thomas cook website, then
after someone told us about holiday reviews websites we had a look at the hotel
we were going to and nearly died of shock, people were saying the place was a
dump and would not go back. Not sure what they expected - this is a typical 3
star hotel, clean tidy and nice big spacious rooms with the bare essentials. The
hotel staff are friendly, the pool is clean, plus only 100m from the rocky beach
at Qawra, but at least we had direct access. But it is only 10 mins drive to
Golden Bay with a sandy cove. Even though it was half board the food was very
nice and plentiful although my only gripe would be that the hotel did not have
enough traditional Maltese dishes on offer. But apart from that what a good
holiday, good job the holiday review sites are sometimes wrong. |
