San Pedro de Alcantara - Hotel Cortijo Blanco
Couldn't fault our week's all inclusive holiday at
the Cortijo Blanco. Clean hotel with a friendly
atmosphere. Delicious and plentiful food. Didn't
even want to eat out on my birthday and the picnic
lunches they pack on request when out on visits were
good too. Brits terrible reserving sunbeds with
towels at 7 am in the morning, Sometimes towels
stayed on unoccupied beds all day, no wonder the
Spanish took the towels off! My son left his wallet
and 18 euros next to the computer by mistake and it
was handed into reception with all the money still
there. Went to a Spanish lesson, archery, water polo
and a lesson on how to make Sangria. Recommend the
trips organised by the newsagent shop next to the
hotel. Went to Gilbratar for the day, reasonable
price and a very entertaining guide called Mustafa.
Sailed past the queuing cars. Enjoyed a beach walk
to Puerto Banus to see all the millionaire's yachts.
Already planning a revisit to include day trips to
Morocco and Granada. |

Fuengirola - Hotel Gardenia Park
Just returned from a week in this hotel, travelling
with 6 adults and three kids under 7. The hotel was
basic, but very clean. Its a traditional hotel, with
bright and comfortable rooms to suit couples or
families. The food was exactly like every other
hotel in Spain, although maybe not so much variety,
however there was always something I could find to
eat. The kids had a great time, lots of
entertainment for them during the day and a mini
disco at night. Did spend a lot of time queuing for
drinks as there only ever seemed to be one bar
person on at a time. Had a fantastic week here and
would go back again, just perfect for a week away in
the sun. |

Fuengirola - Hotel Gardenia Park
The hotel Gardenia Park is a great hotel for a real
cheap getaway. Booked with sunset and flew with
Thomas cook, nice flight, and a good meal. Never
done all inclusive holidays before because always
wanted to do our own thing, but with kids we had to
make a choice - moaning kids or a quiet time with
lots of brits getting drunk. What a shock, great
value for money and everyone was well behaved and
nobody was overly drunk. The hotel itself is a 3
star, with a beach location, with gardens, a nice
swimming pool area and ample sun beds. The food was
good and very fresh, with a good, choice of European
and more traditional foods for the children to eat.
In between meal times there are snack available to
help yourself to. The beer was San Miguel, and the
local wines that were free in the all inclusive were
drinkable, all the spirits though were replacements.
Nice size rooms with a decent size balcony with a
couple of chairs and a table. The hotel is
spotlessly clean and there seemed to be someone
cleaning all the time, a very good value hotel that
I will go back to again, the fact that during the 7
days I did not have to hear my kids asking "dad can
i have some money for?" was a godsend, it made the
holiday for me, and all inclusive is great. |

Fuengirola - Apartment La Jabega
Just returned from 11 days at La Jabega Aparthotel.
We had a one bedroom apartment for 4 adults and I
must say that it was very spacious. We had a sea
view and were situated on the side of the building.
This is the location of the 4 person apartments
[room 12's]. We had the sun on out balcony from
around 2 in the afternoon until sunset, very
pleasant aspect.
The hotel had entertainment on every night. Food
available was good and reasonably priced. We would
certainly recommend this hotel, it was clean, new
towels, beds made and cleaned everyday, staff were
courteous and helpful.
Resort too was lively with lots of good restaraunts
[some actually owned by Spanish], if you dig around.

Fuengirola - Hotel Torreblanca
A very clean hotel. Superbly quick, easy access from
the train station at Malaga. Train line useful for
little trips out too - very cheap way to travel. No
noise from track even though it is so near. Lovely
sea front with wide range of shops, bars and
restaurants - try going up the side streets for
little restaurants.
Hotel rooms are basic but always clean, as are the
public areas. We went in October which is when the
older generation of Spanish go but this was not a
problem and they seemed to enjoy seeing children at
the hotel. Pools were lovely but a bit chilly,
however it was October! Breakfast was fine and we
ate out the rest of time as it was so cheap. I will
definately be going back |

Fuengirola - Hotel Fuengirola Park
We thought the hotel was in a great location!! It
was a few minutes walk to the beach through the
underpass and about a 20 minute walk to the centre
of Fuengirola! There is plenty to do in this part of
Fuengirola though and it is not necessary to go into
the centre (unless you want to go clubbing). The
hotel is about a five minute walk from the train
station. With a range of facilities and in-house
entertainment on offer, its ideal for couples,
groups and families.
The hotel was large and although the decor was a
little tired, overall we found it to be very clean.
The reception and waiting staff were all helpful and
friendly and the meals (half board) could not be
faulted. We thought there was a good choice of food
and the hot food was always hot.
Our room was cleaned every day and there were clean
towels every day.
We did not find the hotel to be noisy but we were on
the top floor which was serviced by 2 lifts. I would
definitely go again.

Costa del Sol -
Benalmadena - Hotel Balmoral
Very clean hotel with really helpful staff, to say
this is a 2 star hotel is a shame, because it really
should be reclassified with another star, the hotel
was always clean. We went on a half board basis and
the food was of a reasonable standard, plenty of it
and lots for the children to eat, the only downside
was the small cue at dinner time, although breakfast
was normally quiet. If you do not want the food, or
want to try something different then the restaurants
near to the Marina are very good, and not too
expensive. |

Benalmadena - Hotel Balmoral
just got back after staying at balmoral. very
disappointed with the staff as noise levels at
2oclock in the morning made it very hard to sleep,
secruity did nothing. as we booked before school
holidays broke up. we had hoped it would be a little
quieter, until 50 spanish school children turned up.

Benalmadena - Hotel Balmoral
I have just come back from spain after staying at
the balmoral hotel it was very clean very helpful
staff room was serviced every day should have been a
four star hotel had an excellent stay. The basic but
friendly Hotel Balmoral is very near to the beach
and has a good selection of local amenities, popular
with a wide variety of guests. The only thing that i
found was the spanish people staying at the hotel
could sometimes be a little rude otherwise excellent
hotel will be going again.

Costa del Sol -
Torremolinos - Hotel Los Jazmines
Just back from a lovely holiday at the Los Jazmines
. We only booked it very last minute and can't
complain at all. From arrival to leaving the staff
where very friendly and helpful. We had a "bungalow"
room over looking the swimming pool, on first
arrival we thought the room to be dark as it didn't
get any sun but this turned out to be a godsend as
it stayed lovely and cool. The room was very clean
and we had maid service and clean towels everyday.
The breakfast was served in a room adjoining the
hotel cafe which was only a couple of yards from our
room. We stepped out of our room into the beautiful
hotel gardens. It wasn't noisy at all despite only
being a few yards from the seafront. We only had bed
and breakfast and were glad because of the vast
array of wonderful restaurants in close proximity.
The breakfasts where very good all buffet style with
the usual cereal, fruit juices, hot drinks, cooked
breakfast of bacon ,eggs, beans , cold meats,
cheeses rolls , croissants , pastries and toast. All
in all we couldn't fault our stay and will certainly
be returning in the future. |
