Cuba - Varadero
- Hotel Palma Reef
The hotel description says it is bright - that is
very true. It is set in its own gardens and easy
walking distance to the shops and bars. My room was
bright and clean. All inclusive hotel and the food
was very good and lots of it with always something
good to eat. The hotel has a great bar and serves
some really special drinks. Nightly entertainment
was great lots of crowd interaction and loads of
laughs. Great to see all the old cars in Cuba, took
a day trip to Havanna and topped up with some Cuban
cigars to bring home as presents. I did find out
that Cuba does not take debit cards and they prefer
Sterling to dollars. A great hotel, great holiday
and real value for money. The only complaint I have
with the hotel complex is that the pool water was
very cold. |

Cuba -
Varadero - Hotel Palma Reef
We kept an open mind after reading various reviews,
but we found the hotel to be lovely, and the food
was better than expected. Being Cuba we were told
not to expect too much, but there was always
something we could find to eat. I asked for a good
room if possible as this was a surprise birthday
present for my partner, and we were given a lovely
suite. Hotel palma real is brightly coloured with
tropical decoration and the hotel is set within its
own gardens. The location was great, and not as busy
as I expected it to be considering it is in the
centre of town. Great holiday, lovely people. Also
the evening entertainment was better than I have
seen in the past all inclusive resorts.

Varadero - Gran Caribe Club Barlovento
Possibly not the most starred hotel in Veradero, but
the price is excellent for the service and luxury of
the hotel. The hotel is comfortable and has a
relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are large enough and the
food was very good, fresh fruit, fish and meat on
the menu every day and very healthy. The beach was
the best I have seen abroad, and the location in
Cuba means an overnight stay in Havanah is a must,
the tour of Old Havanah was excellent and the hotel
and show very good. Staff very friendly and the
entertainment 1st class. Do get your coffee at the
Lobby bar though, much better than what is served in
the restaurant.

Varadero - Oasis Brisas del Caribe
OK, if you go on an all-inclusive holiday for less
than £1000 you have to have a realistic expectation
of what you will get! Given this, Brisas was a good
place to stay. The food was fine if you were carful
and checked the temperature of the hotplate and
there were a number of fresh cooked options at every
meal and fresh bread. Remember you are not going to
Cuba for "Great Cuisine". The daytime activities
include beach games, spanish lessons n dance classes
and the night entertainment includes carabet and
shows. The rooms were immaculate as was the rest of
the hotel and being directly on the beech patrolled
by security to keep the hawkers at bay it was a
perfect place to unwind. Its all inclusive aswell
drink n eat as much as you want.

Guardavaca - Club Amigo Atlantico
Located in Guardalavaca and far away from any
civilization. For holidays, it is good (right on the
beach). The service is typically very good. The
staff speaks Spanish, and average English and are
very friendly. Laundry Service available! There are
several bars and food facilities across the club the
food was mostly American style. The hotel has 2
large swimming pool facilities, very clean and are
maintained. In addition, there is a fitness room,
and animation program. On the beach you can pedal
and sailboats will be borrowed. |

Guardavaca - Club Amigo Atlantico
My daughter, her partner and myself went to this
hotel and thought it was brilliant. the buffet
restaurant had plenty of options, their were three
other restaraurants on site too. which you book
inadvance, the staff are really nice and friendly.
We went on two excursions as a family (DOLPHINS &
HORSE RIDING) my partner and I also went to CAYO
BARIAY. Unfortunately we went saturday instead of
week day as in the week they have a Aboriginal
display in the village which we missed. The club
amigo atlantico is only a few metres from a
beautiful beach of fine white sands. Also while we
were there we arrived back at bus stop two hours
early so the tour guide we had sat with us while we
waited (which he didn't have to as he had finished
work). I would certainly return to this hotel in the
future it is amazing.

Republic - North - Luperon - Tropical Luperon Beach
Resort
Due to a change in recent years the hotel was
completely renovated, Overall, the hotel is very
clean and maintained. The hotel complex is
approximately an hour and half from the airport in
Puerto Plata. The nearby town of Luperon is
comfortable in 15-20 minutes walk or by taxi in 5
minutes. Here you can buy some things, but it more
like a village / rural atmosphere. The second
largest city Santiago is more of a big city and the
shopping opportunities are great! In the hotel
complex there are a few small shops with food and
souvenirs.

Republic - North - Luperon - Tropical Luperon Beach
Resort
After reading reviews on this hotel in holiday
review websites after we had booked, we felt like
crying. However the resort could not have been
better, there were no rampaging locals. The food was
brilliant, buffet was even better than the a la
carte. Everywhere was clean and tidy, staff were
friendly. Air conditioning in the room was a life
saver.
Beautiful grounds, well maintained pools,. Hotel is
right on the beach with a corral reef, so dont
forget underwater cameras. Water sports were always
available. The shops are expensive but you expect
that on a resort.

Dominican
Republic - North - Cabarete - Celuisima Paraiso
Tropical Beach Hotel
We had a room on the ground floor, this was pretty
big and had a TV, hairdryer and a large terrace was
also present. What is very nice that the hotel is
right on the beach one is from any point from a
maximum of 5 minutes on the beach. the hotel staff
were very friendly and helpful we had no
difficulties. There were 5 restaurants with 4 A la
carte (Mexican, Italian, Caribbean, queen and
barbecue on the beach). The food generally was
American designed, most breakfast there was of
cornflakes on Bacon and Omelette (freshly prepared
at the request) is also jam, etc. It was always
clean and it was well supplied with everything.
There was always pasta, rice, potatoes, beef,
chicken, pork and fish, I do not know what else you
could wish for. |

Mexico - Cancun -
Temptation Resort & Spa
We just returned from Temptation Resort and LOVED
it. This was our 2nd trip to this hotel and found
that many upgrades have taken place and many more
are in process. It's a lively, fun-loving resort
especially for young couples or singles and small
enough to get to know other guests. The staff aim to
please and are always willing to "go the extra
mile." The food was excellent and there was also a
good variety of activities. There was quite a good
variety and the specialty restaurants were great.
The ambiance in both the Asian and Italian
restaurants is very romantic. Breakfast was always
wonderful. lots of fresh fruits and yogurt, along
with the usual dishes. It's a great value and a fun
place to be and its all inclusive drink as much
alcohol as you want and enjoy adult orientated
games. |

- Cancun - Hotetur Beach Paradise
We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks after a late
booking with Sunset Holidays. The hotel is located
directly on the white sands of Cancun beach so it
was a bit far from everything but there is a bus
service from outside the hotel that is more or less
running constantly till late in the evenings. The
hotel is situated right on a the main sandy beach of
the strip with a lagoon on the other side so your
getting a really nice view whichever side your on,we
were on the 8th floor and had a fabulous view of the
sea n its all inclusive.
The pool looked good with daily games and
entertainment but we were on the beach a lot of the
time.
The food in the hotel was great, food could get a
bit repetitive after the first week but thats
expected i suppose. The staff seemed friendly enough
apart from a couple of the bar staff, the rooms were
cleaned to a high standard daily. The evening
entertainment is usually includes theme nights, all
in all i would recommend this hotel to anyone. |

Cancun - Dos Playas Hotel
Went to dos playos with a buddy and we had a great
time. Met some great people from all over the world
. The beach was real nice the food was good ,staff
was the best. Nothing about the place I didnt like.
This lively hotel is ideal for young people looking
to make the most of cancun and its nightlife. We
have about twenty friends that we met there that we
are going to meet there next year. The bus runs
right out front to either the strip or downtown. are
room was small, but I didnt come here to spend much
time in it and the hotel is full board plus
features. |

Mexico - Cancun -
Aquamarina Beach
I was a little nervous after reading some of the
reviews, but it was beautiful and the hotel had 3
lovely swimming pools 1 of them had swim up bar
which was ideal. The room was fantastic, very nice
size and very romantic. The food was good for the
cost and the entertainment each night and afternoon
was a lot of fun. The bartenders are very nice and
it was a great vacation. We really enjoyed
ourselves. It is very easy to get around and to get
downtown and to the other sites in Cancun by the
city bus, that you can catch right out front of the
hotel. |
