Gambia is a tiny West African country with 32km of soft sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. The resorts are simple and laid back, the nightlife in Gambia is normally hotel based. Gambia is the oldest English speaking in Africa, and it will be easy to haggle for a bargain in one of the many markets. Must do's for Gambia are the "roots tour" and the jeep safari. Gambia's main export is peanuts and the peanut stew is the national favourite.
